Mom's Italian Style Mac and Cheese


Mom's Italian Style Mac and Cheese , adapted by +Curt Iffert . For the original recipe click here. Nothing more comforting than this dish to me. I love experimenting, this one has
more than 6 cheeses in it! I can eat this everyday, it's fabulous!


What You Need:


  • 1 pound of spiral pasta
  • 2 cups white cheddar shredded
  • 3 tablespoon gorgonzola cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cup whole milk or half and half
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • more whole milk if need to cover pasta
  • 1 cup shredded Colby cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup grating cheese
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon each black pepper and cayenne
  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
Preparation:


Cook and drain pasta set aside.
In a large saucepan, add the milk, cream, cheese, spices, herbs, butter and blend until melted all together. Place the pasta in a large buttered baking pan. Pour cheese mixture over the top, use more milk if needed to cover the pasta. Top with more shredded cheddar. Bake at 350-degree hot oven until browned and crisp on top.

Supermarket Style Loft Cookies

One of my favorite cut out cookies and those soft loft cookies you find in almost every supermarket decorated for whatever holiday theme is going on. You can make Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, anything you want. These are just a great dough so versatile to work with. Kids love these cookies and often eat all the frosting off before the cookie, you may know someone just like that! The frosting is buttery and delicious along with the cookies. If you love loft cookies try my soft peanut butter molasses cookies also they are so good! This is a simple recipe that will be your new favorite cookie all year long.
