Olaf Food Art Recipe

Olaf Food Art

Do you have a child's birthday party coming up? Or just looking for something fun to do with your kids?

This is an easy recipe that you can do that doesn't take much time, and comes out looking so cute. And Delicious.

So Easy!

These delicious and easy treats are perfect for any themed party, holiday or get together if there will be kids involved.

They are so easy to assemble and will look like you spent hours on them.

Make Them Ahead of Time

I made these for a birthday party I was catering for, so I made just enough.

You could easily make these ahead of time for a party, or event and freeze them for up to 3 weeks.

What You Need

  • Honey Graham Crackers
  • Large and Miniature Marshmallows
  • Black Licorice
  • Chocolate Frosting
  • White Frosting
  • Blue Food Coloring or Dye
  • Candy Corn
  • Confectioners Sugar
  • Candy eyeballs

Preparation

1. Put 1/2 of white frosting in a small bowl and add 3-4 drops of blue food coloring. Mix well. Add one drop at a time until it reaches the blue you want. If you are using food coloring dye, use a toothpick and just dab some blue dye into your white frosting. Dye is much better at making color so you don't need much.

2. Break your graham crackers into 4 squares. Repeat this until you reach the desired number you like.

3. Spread a thin layer of blue frosting on each graham cracker.

4. Cut one large marshmallow into 3 pieces horizontally. Scissors worked perfectly for this step. These will be your body. Put the 3 pieces on top of the blue frosting to make your snowman.

5. Use 2 miniature marshmallows to make the feet.

6. Cut small pieces of black licorice and push into the sides of the middle marshmallow to make arms. Add two small pieces to the top marshmallow to make the hair.

7. Using a toothpick, dab a little chocolate frosting on the middle and bottom marshmallow to make the buttons. Draw a smile on the top marshmallow to make the smile. You can use a piping bag if you prefer, this is just an easier way to do it.

8. Dab two small dots of chocolate frosting on the top marshmallow and add your candy eyeballs. The frosting will make them stick.

9. Cut the tip off of the candy corn and stick it to the top marshmallow with a little chocolate frosting to make the nose.

10. Using a sifter, sprinkle a little confectioners sugar on each one to make the snow effect.

Serve these right away or put in an airtight container and freeze.
